Details
Walter Russell Crocker was a diplomat, academic, writer and Lieutenant Governor of South Australia (1973-82). Crocker was High Commissioner to India (1952-55 and 1958-62), Ambassador to Indonesia (1955-56), High Commissioner to Canada (1956-58), Ambassador to the Netherlands and Belgium (1962-65), Ambassador to Ethiopia, Uganda and Kenya (1965-67) and Ambassador to Italy (1967-70).
