Inscribed in blue ink on lower outer corner of front pastedown: 'Unpublished autobiography. The original M.S.S. [sic] does not now exist. I was told by William Strutt's grand-daughter Mrs Davies, London, 1955'.
Also affixed to inside front cover 'Rex de C Nankivell' plate identifying this as 1563/40 [sic].
Inscribed in blue ink on title page 'Souvenir of visit / July 1956. London. / Rex Nan Kivell'. Includes original watercolour of kangaroos affixed to reverse of front endpaper.
