Details
Rupert Bunny was an Australian artist. Bunny left Australia in 1884 to study in London and Paris. He exhibited at the Salon de la Société des Artistes Français (Old Salon) in 1888, becoming the first Australian painter to receive a mention honorable. Bunny exhibited widely in London and Paris before returning to Melbourne in 1933. Bunny was vice-president and an inaugural member of the Contemporary Art Society, established in 1939.
